HARD WORK TOWARDS SUCCESS
Every time that I turn my head and look around, I always notice the tarpaulins hanging and picturing out the students who passed the board exam or get the highest rank in some places. Education is the way to make everybody live a better life, this is the knowledge and development in each people living in this world should have.
Many of us, especially the students are dreaming a good life in the future, but how can we reach it if knowing that in this generation, the people are just contented on what we have right now and just depending on the help of the others.
For Cathleen Mae De Ramos, 16 years old, one of the graduating students of Quezon National High School, she said that striving to reach your dreams should be in the process of education first. By the support and all the needs that were given to her by her mother and father, she will finally graduate and make her parents more proud to her.
‘’Syempre masaya ako dahil sa wakas makakapagtapos na ako ng pag-aaral lalo na kung ito yung pinaghirapan mo, at yung pinakahihintay mo na makapagtapos ka at makamit mo yung mga pinapangarap mo sa buhay. At syempre ngayong makakapagtapos na ako, mas aayusin ko pa ang pag-aaral ko ngayong K-12 hanggang magcollege ako at hanggang matapos ko ang kolehiyo at nang ako naman ang makatulong syempre sa pamilya ko na naghirap na makapagtapos lang ako ng pag-aaral.Tutulong ako sa kanila at ng masuklian ko lahat ng paghihirap at pagsasakripisyo nila para sakin at ng mabigyan ko din sila ng magandang buhay, maganda rin kase kung makakapagtapos ka ng pag-aaral para yung gusto mong pangarap ay makamit mo, yung alam mo na pinaghirapan mo talaga yun,yun eh! Basta para sakin,mas priority ko ngayon ang edukasyon para sa kinabukasan ko’’ said Cathleen.
She is also proud to herself, even there are so many struggles come to her life, she used to face it all, and she never forget to thank God for all the blessings. She also salutes her parents, cause even they are eight siblings and her father is working as a jeepney driver, they conquer all no matter what just for their children.
And that’s how important education to every single person. Don’t waste your time in doing such a nonsense thing, better yet study hard.

CONFIDENTLY BEAUTIFUL WITH THE ARTS
Turn around and look at the beautiful arts that our God created, don’t you see that we are his crystal art.
God made all of this, and because we are his natural and beautiful art, he wants us to show others our true talent. He gave us strength to perform on the stage, to face all your non-stop supporters, to hear all the loud cheers and applause, and to show your ultimate and amazing talent.
Singing, dancing, painting and other stuff that makes who you really are, and a kind of ways of showing yourself to everybody, confidently but with the heart.
Show up your talent,the performance of all grade levels for the celebration of ‘Ani ng Sining’ at the Alcala Sports Complex, Quezon National High School, are one of the amusing talent that was performed. With the different style of dance that each grade level performed, it picture out the generally pleasing place of Quezon.
Another performance that was performed in QNHS and also part of the celebration, are the cultural dances of the groups from Batangas, Quezon City, Dumaguete, Malabon, Lucena, South Cotabato.
‘’Ang ganda talaga ng pinakita nila, nadama ko yung pagka-Pilipino natin dahil sa mga sayaw at iba pang talento na pinakita ng ibat-ibang grade levels. Tapos nabigyan pa tayo ng pagkakataon na makasayaw para ipakita ang talento natin at ipakita din ang ganda ng Quezon’’ said by Rose Anne Himor, grade 7 student.

HISTORICAL PRESENT
Quezon National High School is also known before as Tayabas High School, it was the second most populated school in the country and it’s the biggest high school in DepEd Quezon. It is more than 11,000 of enrollees from Grade 7-Grade 10.
It was founded in October 1902 by Aubrey Boyles who happen to be the first principal of QNHS, when he organized a convent of Lucena on the Northern side of Lucena Cathedral (before Saint Ferdinand Parish Church).50 students were exposed to the English language and 19 of teachers are American.
Gabaldon hall is the main building of QNHS, where it is a public secondary science high school in Brgy Iyam, Lucena City.It also become the Provincial hospital
QNHS have its popularly known publication called ‘The Coconut’ and ’Ang Niyog’,this came out twice a month in a four-page tabloid.Starting from the year 2000, the publication has now won 17 times in the annual District Schools Press Conference.

WE LESSEN PLASTIC
Plastic is material consisting of any of a wide range of synthetic or semi-synthetic organic compounds that are malleable and so can be molded into solid objects.
Students learn how to use alternative agricultural containers in replacement to Plastic. This thing may not be easy but a lot of students posses this thing.
Using Banana Leaves in replacement to Plastic is one of the creative way they use to avoid too many trash. The used leaves are used as fertilizer in their garden.
A lot bring their own tumblers for some juices or water and some are using the cups own by the food stalls inside the campus. The plastic bottles are recyclable and there are respective trash bin for it.
“Instead of plastic we use papers, nasa tingin ko ay malaki ang naitulong para madisiplina ang kapwa ko estudyante at mapaganda na din ang kapaligiran ng ating paaralan” said one of the student from Grade 9.
As of now with discipline and cooperation of students, The school continue the advocacy of lessening the plastic inside the campus because the impact in the school amazed everyone.
This idea is one of the best way to lessen the plastic in the campus, there are a lot of students who are avoiding bringing garbage out of plastic in the campus and this has a bigger impact to the surroundings of the campus.
SHIRTS AS OUR IDETITY
SPJ shirts are used by the students of Special Program in
Journalism from Grade 7 to 10 . They used it every Friday
and if there some events because it serve as their identifica-
tion.
“Yes it serve as our identity to let people know that we
are part of that program and we are proud of it” said Pelagio
of Grade 8 SPJ Phoebus
Wearing SPJ shirt started 2014-2015 the same reason for the identity. They also did this because there is also
some activities which is related to the program like the convocation every Quarter and Family day of SPJ.
There is a time that if you are in the library or in the canteen and we are wearing our SPJ shirt together with our Press I.D., some of them said that “ohhh SPJ magagaling yan” and
they are like have fear with us.
This Shirt has a mark and we wear it for us to be known
that we are belong to that program and we are proud of it.
HIGH SCHOOL LIFE: UNFORGETTABLE MEMORIES
Different emotions but Happpiness is the best and the common answer of the Graduating students of
Quezon National High School. Exciting, Sad, and can’t explain is the others.
One of the student I interviewed is John Aerol Rago of 10- SPJ Elysium, tis person catch my attention because of the impressive answer and thought about his life in QNHS from 1st year up to the present
4th year.
“Ang pinaka hindi ko malilimutan ay ang suntukan namin ni Raphael, kala namin ay ma Guidance na kami pero hindi pala at nagsilbing aral sa amin yoon.” Said Rago.
When he become Grade 8 he met a lot of student teacher and he really remember those things that the
Practice Teacher teach them. They experience the hardest thing and pain because of the Assignments,
Activities and Projects.
The very unforgettable moment is when they are in 3rd year. When they compete Speech Choir and won as a Group of a whole class, Gryffindor and grab the title on the real event because in the elimination they are just 2nd.
Grade 10 is the last year and we really had a hardest time doing assignments and projects because we did it all together in the short time and they also sleep late.
“ Im very happy, kasi makakatapos narin ako sa kabila ng lahat ng hirap na aking dinanas, akala ko hindi na ako makakatapos pero ngayon gagraaduate na ako” said by Rago.
We can really see the life of Aerol from Graade 7 to 10 in QNHS. The worst but end in a Happy and Positive thing.
SHOWCASE OUR TALENTS:
ANI NG SINING
In Quezon National High School there is different kind of culminating activity in every department and MAPEH department held one the “Ani ng Sining” celebration and many students enjoy it mainly because the activities is good and they love it.
Ani ng Sining is one of the Activities of MAPEH Department and there are different activities stuff like
Talent Showcase and Festival Dance.
Grade 7 up to Grade 9 joins the street dance and they all perform as a group. They really show their talent in dancing and many teachers amaze on the different dance.
The cooperation of everybody is really there because you can really see it on the performance.
“Masaya, dahil nakaraos din ang pagsasayaw ng walang pagkakamali” said Epino Grade 8- Grapes
SPS students also show their hidden talent, and it is overwhelming because the overall performance is Good.
Many students Join the showcase talent and someof them recite a spoken poetry, Dance and Sing.
DIRTY HANDS, WELL LIFESTYLE
As far as I know, when your hand is dirty, you’re a hard worker.
Many of us do not want people with dirty hands.Concealing the knowledge of many, having a dirty hand is a sign of a simple, clean life. In an essay written by John Delaney titled '' Living with Dirty Hands '', he emphasized the importance of having dirty hands.
According to Delaney, dirty hands hold people who value everyday life in the world. It is the hands of plumbers, truck drivers, street cleaners, carpenters, machine shop workers and more. They have bad hands but they are the strong and hard-working hands in their families.
Romel Ayaay, 26, married, from Barangay Ilayang Polo, Quezon town of Quezon. He is one of those who have literally dirty hands because of his work. They grew up in the woods, raising their hands for the charcoal treatment, but for her it was a blessing.
Kahit na marumi ang aking kamay, malinis naman ang trabaho ko. Wala akong sinasagasaang tao, wala akong krimen na ginagawa tulad ng iba diba. ‘’ Said Ronel.
Since 2008, Ronel has been making changes. Here he is raising his wife and a son. At each opening of the charcoal product, he was able to pack 10 sacks of charcoal. Each sack costs 150 pesos. That means he earns 3,000 pesos on every one-time sale of charcoal products.
KAMAYAN: QUEZONIAN'S CULTURE
The way we used to eat back then, it was really a change of heart. Here in the province of Quezon, Kamayan is an old custom where instead of using cutlery, only the hands are used to pick and eat food. To put it bluntly, this traditional way has long been held by the people of the province. According to the historical book, the first recorded ‘kamayan’ dates back to the time when the Spaniards arrived in the 1500s.
After the arrival of the Spaniards on the island of Legaspi until they reached our province, the use of silver spoons and forks gradually changed.
The settlement of the Spanish colonies had already ended with the Americans arriving in our country. As a result, the Philippines have gained more knowledge on the use of tableware. Added a simple spoon and fork of bread knife, salad fork, teaspoon and more. The Philippines welcomed it warmly despite its complexity.
Some years passed and the Japanese arrived who also influenced our diet. They introduced the hashi or better known as chopsticks. Today, chopsticks can be used as a substitute for spoon and fork.
Even though foreigners introduced to us different kinds of cutlery, the idea of ​​Kamayan in our country will never end. It has continued to be enjoyed by many Filipinos since then.
