  QNHS ELECT NEW SSG OFFICERS

Quezon National High School chosen the new responsible Supreme Student Government  officers for the school-year 2018-2019

     Lontok, became the new SSG president with  2,471 votes against Castillo with 1,673 votes.

     J.J Co won as the vice president with 2,397 votes, J. Abcede as a secretary with 2,200 votes,T.C. Llanera as a treasurer with 2,365 votes,A.R Ocampo as auditor with  2,342 votes.

     As the PIO  Liwanag with 2,713 and Moyo with 2,136 get the spot, in  P.O. Sayat with 2,369 votes  and Tamondong with 2,021  get it,.

     There are also  representative that are assign for each grade  level.

ENGLISH DEPARTMENT CONDUCTED BOOK WEEK FESTIVAL

          English department celebrates the annual celebration of Book week Festival held at Quezon National High School this November 28-29.

          Writing contest such as Letter Writing, Bookmark Making, Quiz bee, Library Hugot line and Poster Making happen last November 28.

          The event was started by the opening remarks of the Head of English Department Ma'am Cynthia M. Tadong.

          The remaining contest occur on the 29 day of November. There are representatives from each grade level to perform on the activities Group and Individual like VjHunt, Song translation,Theatrical Speech Choir, Dance Drama,Declaim a Song,Choric Reading, God and Goddes and Characters on Parade.

          Students from different Grade level witnessed the competitions of the event, Some are supporting their classmates who will be competing on. They are amazed by the performances of students in different contest.

          The participants of Radio Drama and Short film was in their formal attire and ready to receive award for the said competition with the twist wherein there will be nomination and afterwards the winner will be reveal.           The English Departnent gives different award like Best in Script, Technical Director, Director Best Radio Drama, Best in Short Film and more.           

              Winners are announced by Mr. Alvin Patal from English Department right after event God and Goddess at Gymnasium. SPJ Grade 10 won Champion on Song translation, SPJ grade 9 on Speech Choir, Tomondong w/ her partner of Grade 11 won on Vj hunt, Grade 10 Spa on Dance Drama and Grade 8 on Choric Reading.

QNHS TO HONOR PINOY SAYAW

         Quezon National High School celebrated the Pinoy Sayaw as part of the Ani ng Sining 2018, at Alcala Sports Complex, last February 27.

          Performance of the different groups to give pleasure to the pleasing province of  Quezon , are the cultural dances of the groups from Batangas, Quezon City, Dumaguete, Malabon, Lucena, and South Cotabato.  

This celebration was formed to promote the Month of Arts, and to show every talents of the performers performed on that day.

     One of the performers in the said celebration was the finalist of ‘It’s Showtime’, the Ground 0. They showed some extreme stunts and tricks in dancing that made the students of QNHS screamed loud as they can.

QNHS TO UTILIZE BANANA LEAVES CONTAINER

         Quezon National High School uses Banana leaves as container of their meal this is for them to lessen the number of plastic inside the campus.

          Many are amazed by the idea of one stall who discovered and first stall who use it as replacement of plastic and the idea transferred to all stall in the school.

          The usage is not just beneficial to school but also for the teachers and students.

          The idea helps a lot because the garbage will be lessen, the Banana Leaves also serve as fertilizer in garden.

Meal such as Adobo, Chicken, Menudo, giniling and other meal are available in different store and they use Banana leaves as container.

          "The Usage of Banana Leaves as replacement is so beneficial and Environmental Friendly" stated by G10 SPJ students.

          The usage is not just beneficial to school but also for the teachers and students.

          This idea is one of the best way to lessen the plastic in the campus, there are a lot of students who are avoiding bringing garbage out of plastic in the campus.

QNHS TO HOLD MR. AND MS. QUEZON HIGH 2018

     Quezon National High School officially recognized the new Mr. and Ms. QNHS 2018, Ms. Kris Francine Perez and Mr. Giorge Aener De Castro, on the following coronation that was held at Alcala Sports Complex, last February 2.

     They take the responsibilities as the former Mr. and Ms. put on their head the crown as a sign also that they will be the model student for all the grade level students.

     With the theme of ‘’Redefining Beauty. Creating Legacy’’,the candidates start to show their beauty, talents, and knowledge to get the crown and the title.

     Ms. Perez and Mr. De Castro get an award as they were the new Mr. and Ms QNHS, the crown, title and full scholarship in  Saint Anne College of the Pacific. 

     There are over all 27 candidates, 17 beautiful ladies and 10 handsome men were  competed together.

     The former Mr. and Ms. QNHS are Alexis B-Jorn Veniegas and Joyce Anne Garduque.

TYPHOON TISOY LEAVES PATH OF DESTRUCTION

          Typhoon Tisoy (Kamurri) left an extensive area of devastation particularly in Luzon after making a landfall in the Philippines on Tuesday afternoon, December 3.

          According to Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), typhoon Tisoy sustained its wind nearly 215 kilometers per hour affecting some provinces like Bicol region, CALABARZON, Metro Manila, MIMAROPA, Samar and some places near Albay and Camarines as they were seriously devastated.

          Heavy damage to high-risk structures, unroofed houses made of medium-strength materials, damage shrubbery, break or uproot large trees, and topple electric posts were experienced due to exposed heavy rains and strong thunderstorm.

         Four people have been reported dead from different province, two of the victims were killed by falling tree branches while the other two died when their roofs collapsed.

          More than hundreds of flights were cancelled for about 12 hours after authorities decided to close the capital of Ninoy Aquino International Airport in anticipation of severe weather brought  by the storm.

          Government had ordered the suspension of the work in the city government and all levels in private and public schools (affected areas) for the safety preparedness.

          Barangay and Sangginiang Kabataan (SK) councils were also prepared relief goods, tents and ther needed equipment for the evacuees.

TISOY AS THE STRONGEST THYPOON THIS 2019

Thypoon Tisoy is consider as strongest thypoon in the year 2019 and it make landfall 4 times in our Country, Philippines. In Gubat, Sorsogon is the first place where the thypoon landfall around 11 pm Monday, Decemeber 2. San Pascual, Burias Island, Masbate, 4 am on Tuesday, December 3 is the second landfall. Torrijos, Marinduque around 8:30 am on Tuesday, December 3 is the third landfall. Naujan, Oriental Mindoro, 12:30 pm on December 3 is the fourth and last landfall. Tropical Cyclone signal no. 3 is raised in some portion of Southern Luzon and Visayas. The suspension of classes happen from December 2-4 due to heavy rains and strong winds. Places in Legazpi, Marinduque, Batangas, Mindoro, Quezon Province and other places affected have some area washed out by the thypoon. Thypoon Tisoy are making way out of the Philippine Area of Responsibilities (PAR) this December 4.
